UCEL had representation of two (2) of its executives at the opening of Stockholm +50 National Consultation and fifteen (15) of its members at the Grand Finale Stockholm+50 Consultation on March 7, 2022 and May 4, 2022 respectively.
Among resolutions made at the consultations was the need for strengthened environmental governance at all levels, building upon enhanced public participation and access to environmental information, improved evidence-base and risk knowledge, rebuilt trust between governments and society, and an effective response to the needs of stakeholder groups, including women, youth, indigenous peoples, local communities, people with disabilities, and others.
